Depay arrives: Barça sign third free player with top market valuedepay barca
On Thursday he scored a goal against the Netherlands at the European Championship, now he has been introduced at Barcelona. Memphis Depay becomes the third free transfer for the Catalans. The deal was made official on Saturday night. The 27-year-old forward arrives from Olympique Lyon where he has scored 76 goals and 55 assists in 178 games. Depay has signed a short-term contract in Spain. The deal runs until 2023.

Barça, therefore, continue their rebuild. The team coached by Ronald Koeman have already signed Manchester City duo Sergio Agüero and Eric García. In Emerson Royal, Barça has also signed a new wing-back for €9 million on a buy-back deal from Real Betis. With a market value of €45 million, Depay becomes the most valuable signing for Barcelona this season and the third most valuable free transfer in history.
