After heavy defeats in World Cup qualifiers – Colombia part ways with Queirozcolombia cup
After consecutive defeats in the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Colombia’s national team coach Carlos Queiroz has resigned. It was agreed not to continue the cooperation, the Colombian Football Association announced on Tuesday evening. The Portuguese had managed the side for almost two years.

Colombia lost 3-0 at home to Uruguay on November 13 and were beaten 6-1 away at Ecuador four days later, their heaviest qualifying loss since 1977. In the next qualifiers in March next year, they will play Brazil and Paraguay.
